LEARN HOW TO WASH AND CARE FOR YOUR GORE-TEX® GEAR.
This Earth Month, Arc’teryx and GORE-TEX® are sharing simple ways to care for your gear. Join us in-store to learn why washing matters, how to properly care for your GORE-TEX® products, and how regular maintenance helps extend the life of your gear. Regular washing restores breathability, reactivates water repellency, and keeps your gear performing longer.
Over time, dirt, oils, and contaminants build up on your jacket. This can prevent your GORE-TEX® garment from breathing properly and reduce water repellency. Caring for your gear helps it perform better, last longer, and reduce environmental impact.
Â
Regular washing helps:
·     Restore breathability
·     Reactivate durable water repellency (DWR)
·     Extend the lifespan of your gear
Â
Most GORE-TEX® garments should be washed every 6–12 wears, depending on use.
Washing your GORE-TEX® gear is easier than you might think. With the right process, you can wash your jacket at home using a simple machine wash and proper drying cycle.
Â
Watch our quick guide to learn the steps for washing and drying your GORE-TEX® jacket.
Â
Our in-store teams are also available to answer questions and share gear care guidance.
